Champion Lakes sailors filled three of the top five places at the Perth IOM Classic on Sunday 12th July.
Glenn Dawson came out on top winning the 'Classic' which saw sixteen races sailed in a light and challenging NNE wind blowing around 7-12kts. While Glenn only won a single race it was his consistency that got him on top rarely finishing in a top four position.
Another fantastic result for CL Radio Sailors was a third place by Ian Sherriff who after a slow start managed to pick up three race wins and move into second place overall before dropping the ball in the final two races to slip back to third.
Sean Wallis finished a disappointing fourth after getting off to a great start winning three of the first four races but found it difficult to manage the changing and challenging conditions at Jackadder Lake and by the end of the day finished fourth overall.
Well done to Glenn and the team, absolutely fantastic!
The next regional event on the calendar is the Albany 'Southerly Buster' to be held over the weekend of 29/30 August and we look forward to again seeing some great results from our sailors!
