Radio sailing at Champion Lakes will re-commence 31 May with a packed schedule catering for IOM, Marblehead & Ten Rater classes.
With the relaxation of restrictions with COVID-19, Venueswest has announced that the Champion Lakes Regatta Centre will re-open on Tuesday 26 May. With this, radio sailing is set to resume from 31 May with Marblehead & Ten Rater Classes racing from 12:30-14:30 with IOM sailors set to hit the water for sailing from 14:30-16:30.
The interest in the Marblehead class with a number of new boats to be joining the fleet shortly along with the recent launch of Barry Donaher's Red Ant F6 has seen the need to cater for multiple classes on a more frequent basis but also allows for the IOM handicap sailing to offer a more relaxed sailing environment for the less competitive sailor. Ultimately we are offering a sailing program that should meet the needs of all our members.
Sailors should take note that start times for individual classes will vary each weekend and that these should be checked.
For May/June the following schedule of sailing has been announced.
