Sean Wallis holds an unassailable lead of the 2020 IOM Club Championship Scratch Series with just one heat in the series remaining.

With the last Marblehead State Championship held in WA in 1998, the 2020 State Championship clearly marked a resurgence in the class.

With just one heat of the 2020 IOM Handicap series to go and it's going to be an absolute thriller!

Champion Lakes sailor Glenn Dawson sailing his Sanga has successfully defended his WA Ten Rater State Championship title winning his fourth title in succession and truly reflecting his dominance in the class in WA.

Please be reminded there will be no sailing at Champion Lakes on 27 Sept. due to the South West IOM Invitational at Knotting Hill & Bunbury. There are also further changes to the sailing calendar so read on.

Please be advised that sailing on Sunday 13 Sept. has been rescheduled to be held at Austin Lakes with IOM Club Racing SCR commencing at 13:00

A blustery day welcomed the small but enthusiastic group of sailors for the WA Ten Rater Metro Championship at Champion Lakes on 6th September which saw heaps of excitement.

Sean Wallis and Glenn Dawson steered the Champion Lakes team to a one two finish at the IOM Great Southern Buster held at Albany on 29-30 August.

Please be reminded that there is NO sailing scheduled at Champion Lakes on Sunday 30 August due to the IOM Southern Buster being held at Albany. 

Anyone would have thought that with the forecast weather, conditions would have been better for a duck than a sailor!

Champion Lakes welcomed the DF95's from Wanderers and other clubs to sail by invitation on Sunday 2nd August.

Another packed afternoon of sailing at Champion Lakes with three classes sailing which included club championship sailing for both 10R & IOM at Champion Lakes on 19th July.

Champion Lakes sailors filled three of the top five places at the Perth IOM Classic on Sunday 12th July.

If you've got a DF95 stored in the shed, under the bed or in a cupboard, then it's time to pull it out and make sure it's ready for launching!

This weekend saw another happy new boat owner with Glenn Dawson launching is new Red Ant F6 Marblehead.

COVID-19 rules now give us a fantastic opportunity for sailing but where has all the wind gone?

A mighty fine drop for for the christening of Barry Donaher's new Red Ant F6 Marblehead which hit the water last weekend.

Radio sailing at Champion Lakes will re-commence 31 May with a packed schedule catering for IOM, Marblehead & Ten Rater classes.

After much consideration, taking into account various inputs, a decision has been made to suspend all club organised sailing at Champion Lakes until further notice.

ARYA events scheduled up to 30 April 2020 have been postponed until further notice as a result of increasing community concern in relation to COVID-19.

We regret to advise that the 2020 WA IOM Great Southern Championship to be held in Albany over the weekend of 21/22 March has been postponed.

In less than a week after Champion Lakes sailor Sean Wallis claimed the Marblehead Australian Championship title, club sailor Glenn Dawson has matched it with a win in the International A Class Australian Championship held at West Lakes, SA over 26-27 February.

Champion Lakes sailor Sean Wallis has won the Marblehead Class Australian Championship held at Yarrawonga, VIC over 20-22 February.

Sunday 9th February was IOM Club Championship H2 and was ideal for two excited owners launching their new boats.

Champion Lakes will be represented at the upcoming Ten Rater Class and Marblehead Australian Championships being held at Yarrawonga VIC 16-22 February as well as the International A Class Championship at West Lakes, SA 26-27 February.

Due to events being held at Champion Lakes on Sunday 02 February & Sunday 16 February, radio sailing will be rescheduled to Austin Lakes.

Arriving at Champion Lakes skippers were met with a strong easterly breeze for the WA IOM Shootout! at on Sunday 19th January.
